Coastal Processes
Managing coastal zones requires integrated approach:
management decisions need to be based on a thorough
knowledge of the coastal system and the dynamic forces
that operate upon it. Managing coastal zones requires
a continuous and iterative approach: coastal zones are
highly dynamic systems often used and exploited to their
maximum potential. Permanent and accurate monitoring
of the changing circumstances and constant evaluation
of the effectiveness of management efforts and actions
are required to correct and steer future policies.
